Na·tion·al 'Trust¿ Kultur?Die Stiftung National Trust ist eine 1895 gegründete, gemeinnützige Natur- und Denkmalschutzorganisation mit über einer Million Mitgliedern. Sie besitzt historisch bedeutsame Häuser und Gärten sowie landschaftlich schöne Gegenden, die der Allgemeinheit zugänglich sind. Schottland hat seinen eigenen Scottish National Trust. Die von der Regierung unterstützte OrganisationEnglish Heritage hat die Aufgabe, historische Gebäude und Denkmäler zu schützen und zu restaurieren. In Schottland gibt es für diese Aufgaben die Organisation Historic Scotland und in Wales den Verband Cadw.
